Wordpress next release, which was scheduled to be out on April 23rd has been delayed until further notice. Apparently they are still “polishing things up”, as Matt Mullenweg wrote on his blog some days ago.
Some of the new features announced include:

Permalink redirection
Improved comment editing
Widgets
Atom 1.0 support for feeds.
Multiple format comment feeds, including Atom.
Switched to jQuery [...]
